Week 19 (17 Nov - 23 Nov 2002)
Odd lass

"Hi there, handsome," a sultry voice murmured from the next chamber. Heinrich stepped in warily, his sword raised.
Inside, he gasped with amazement. Instead of another drab and musty stone dungeon chamber, they saw a richly appointed boudoir. Silks tapestries lined the walls, and opulent jewels sparkled on the sumptuous bedclothes, but Heinrich's eyes were drawn to the near-nude woman nestled among them. Her blue skin glistened intoxicatingly in the candlelight and her three firm breasts heaved with every word she spoke.
"Why don't you slip out of your armor and make yourself more comfortable?" she purred, stretching in a way that didn't look possible.
Heinrich shook his head. "No dice," he grunted. "A woman in a dungeon is always up to no good. If one breast is bared, she's Lawful Evil. Both breasts, Neutral Evil. Three or more breasts bared and she's Chaotic Evil. . . and I don't swing that way."
The blue-skinned woman grabbed up a sharp pick and axe, and her third arm showed itself from deep in her lush green hair, armed with some sort of crystal hand grenade. Her face twisted into a sneer. The mouth on her middle breast did its best to match the expression.

Well, this is one of my odder figures. . . I originally got it through a trade with two other similarly freakish miniatures, intending to use them as necanthropes in a game of SLA Industries. They never got painted, partly because I'm just not terribly interested in human-style figures, even when they've got this many extra appendages. I suppose she could be Eccentrica Gallumbits, the Triple-Breasted Whore of Eroticon VI.
But the Chick Challenge III rolled around, so I decided to give this a shot. I started out with a base of GW Imperial Blue, then moved gradually up (through a grayish color) to GW Ice Blue thinned with white. The hair is a mix of greens. The gold was done with yellow ink over GW Mithril Silver. . . I need to fool around a bit more with the technique. The other metals are Mithril Silver with a wash of purple ink, which I just won't do again.

I wasn't exceedingly motivated to paint this, but it happened to be the most interesting female figure I had on hand. Not my best work by far. . . I need to work on the more impressionistic highlights and tinker with the metallics. Still, it was fun to take part in the challenge and it knocked out another figure in the enormous miniatures backlog.
